Dr. Girish Banaji is a Board Certified pediatric dentist and Fellow, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. He is a graduate of the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry and received training in pediatric dentistry at Howard University College of Dentistry. Dr Banaji has practiced pediatric dentistry since 1993 in challenging clinical settings. His clinical experiences enable him to diagnose and treat routine as well as complex problems encountered in pediatric dentistry. Dr. SungHee Kim obtained a masters degree and Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Virginia Commonwealth University. Prior to attending VCU, she received her bachelor’s degree from University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA. She finished dental school at the top of her class and was inducted into the National Dental Honor Society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon. At VCU, she received research awards working on small RNAs of Porphyromonas gingivalis and represented VCU school of dentistry at the International Association of Dental Research conference. Dr Kim completed pediatric dentistry specialty training at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington D.C. During her pediatric dental residency she received extensive training in restorative and preventive dentistry, management of dental trauma, behavior management, oral conscious sedation and dental rehabilitation under general anesthesia. In addition, she received training in dental treatment of patients with craniofacial anomalies and special needs. Dr. Kim is dedicated to the health of children and values the importance of a positive dental experience. She is a great listener and connects well with patients and parents, making them feel comfortable under her care. Through her education and clinical experiences she is able to provide safe and comprehensive treatment in the office setting as well as in the operating room under general anesthesia. In her spare time, Dr Kim likes to practice yoga and spend time with her family and friends. She is married and resides in Fairfax. Dr. Shinjni Razdan attended Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in Richmond, Virginia. Following her graduation from dental school, she continued her education at VCU and completed a two year postdoctoral residency in pediatric dentistry. As part of her residency training, Dr. Razdan received additional knowledge and training in the areas of pediatric medicine, behavior management, conscious sedation and general anesthesia. She is also trained in treating patients with special needs and craniofacial anomalies. Dr. Razdan completed her research involving the General Dentists’ Role in treating children 0-3 years old: Pediatric Dentists’ Perspective and earned her Master of Science Degree. Dr. Razdan is focused on creating a relaxed and fun experience for each child’s dental visit. She is committed to helping each child maintain a healthy smile for a lifetime by focusing on prevention of dental problems and protecting children’s overall health. Being passionate about dental health of all children, Dr. Razdan has actively participated in several outreach dental activities in underserved areas of Virginia and helped children with limited access to dental care.
